Hello, my name is Anna Eraut, and my company has been working in Ukraine supporting the staff and leadership teams of major international companies since the outbreak of the current war in February 2022.

ADAPT: Embedded psychological support for organisations under pressure

I am Anna Eraut, a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist and organisational consultant. I work with leaders and teams whose people are highly capable and committed but are operating in demanding conditions that can lead to burnout.

For over four years, during the war in Ukraine, I built and ran an embedded psychological support system for the Kyiv office of an international law firm.

That work forged an approach I now bring to organisations facing other kinds of sustained pressure such as restructuring, economic crisis, leadership strain, chronic uncertainty, or the cumulative weight of demanding professional environments.

A major crisis can have a significant impact on people's mental health and well-being, while also affecting how teams work together and how the organisation functions as a whole.

Our clients' teams must manage daily uncertainties while maintaining business operations. Their senior managers – while managing their own response to the crisis – are tasked with nurturing staff, keeping them motivated and productive.

What is distinctive

Most psychological support for organisations sits in one of two places:

  • The clinical space – individual psychological support, with limited attention to the wider organisational system.
  • The wellbeing space – standalone wellbeing activities with little connection to everyday organisational realities.

My work covers both of these and the systemic ground between and around them. The focus is not only on individual experience but on the pressures and dynamics moving through the organisation itself.

Who we work with

  • International firms with staff in crisis-affected regions
  • Leadership teams holding strain that is not yet visible in the numbers
  • Senior decision-makers carrying responsibility for others while quietly running low themselves
  • Professional service environments where competence is the currency and emotional cost stays private
  • Teams scattered across locations, working largely online, sometimes without having met in-person for months

I found myself working with human rights lawyers documenting war crimes, witnessing first-hand how psychological empowerment could build resilience even in the most challenging circumstances.

Testimonials

An initiative of prime importance in the world in which we now live – a world of deep-rooted conflict and confrontation, but also of dramatic and far-reaching innovation at so many levels. Stressing the importance of a pro-active approach, ADAPT aims to support and enhance the resilience of business and government organisations to chart a path through the uncertainties, stresses and strains of our current age.

The main benefit of having Anna with us over the last three years was her familiarity with the organization’s culture, corporate structure, and management dynamics. This insider understanding allows for more efficient and focused sessions, as the psychologist does not need extensive background explanations to contextualize issues. I could more quickly address concerns related to workplace or life stress, or performance challenges, while Anna can offer tailored strategies that align with the company’s values and operational realities.

Anna's workshops and Mindset Journals have become an invaluable resource for our team in Kyiv. Since 2022, we have been working and living under conditions of war - and Anna has given us something no professional training ever could: practical tools to stay grounded, focused, and human when the world around us is anything but stable. The range of her sessions is extraordinary - from cognitive resilience and burnout prevention to trauma, grief, impostor syndrome, and finding meaning amid the absurdity of war. Her Mindset Journals are equally thoughtful - the kind of resource you return to, not just read once, all carefully prepared with an impressive amount of sources and research referred to.

What sets Anna apart is her combination of professionalism and warmth.

Her work has made a real difference - not just to how we work, but to how we cope, connect, and carry on.

Anna’s work with our teams and the ADAPT framework has been instrumental in strengthening our business resilience during challenging times. The framework’s comprehensive approach, which combines psychological training, effective communication strategies, leadership development, and team cohesion, has helped us manage crisis conditions with confidence and unity. CMS Kyiv has greatly benefited from this work. This has enhanced our capacity to maintain robust team dynamics. I highly recommend Anna to any organisation looking to improve its crisis readiness and team resilience and efficiency.

Why this matters

In a situation of existential uncertainty, staff need more than standard continuity planning and business support.
